By the lake side, buds were already opening. Let´s us hope there is no bad cold spell before spring arrives.
Ah dear, it was great to see at the time! Alas my little camera does not
do justice to this scene of the sea gulls huddled together against the
wind, and the lone heron sitting out at the edge of the jetty.
This peaceful scene going down to the lake was painted over a half a century ago by the German artist Otto Dix; the same trees in his painting are still standing and are the trees you see above.
